how much do you charge?

I think it depends the area you live in and who you are babysitting for. I babysit a friends boy and she pays me $15 a day. Most daycares charge between 17-20 a day. So you want to stay about there or people will just take their kids to daycare. Now if its just random babysitting when the parents need a night out then you could charge hourly. I would say $2-$3 per hour, depending on the number of kids and their ages.

I am a licensed daycare provider and I charge by the month. For infants, $610 per month. For preschoolers and up, I charge $550 per month. This is for the Monday through Friday clients who work basically 8am to 5pm.
I do have overnight kids, as well as weekend kids and those rates are about 25% higher per child.
I have done child care for almost 10 years and I love it.

I usualy charge 10$ a day per child. If theres two I charge 15$ a day, 3 I charge 20$ a day. I like to give a discount but not rip myself off. I also feed the kids lunch or dinner depending on when there here.
