Do you have a gas mower or an electric one?

a have a gas one-my father tried an electric one once,and he spent more time patching the cord from accidentally running it over than cutting the grass LOL

Well, you still have to pay for the electricity you use with an electric one, there are risks too - like not seeing the cord & mowing over it - that could get a little nasty.
We don't have a lot of lawn so we have an electric trimmer, it's just easier for us with one of them - it's electric though.
It depends on how much lawn you have to cut - gas for a mower wont cost you a lot & if you don't have much to do, then a tank will last a fair while anyway!

We have a gas one and I know my boyfriend prefers gas to electric due to the stablity, durable and life of a mower.

You still have a gas mower I thought they were obsolete and a thing of the past We have had an electric mower for years and years and without a doubt much better ..just make sure you have a long electric cord so the mower can get to all your grass ...of course that depends on the size of your lawn The price is much much better now then it was ..when we bought our first electric mower years ago it was almost $1,000 now you can get them for a few hundred So go for it It will be worth the price Good Luck

Luckily, I dont have to mow my lawn! LOL I live in an apartment and they do it for me! The only thing I dont like is that they always choose to do it bright and early in the morning and it usually wakes me up from a nice sleep, if my kids dont wake me up first! I have only ever used a gas powered mower, so I suppose that is what I would prefer to have if I had one.

I had 2 gas mowers that I gave away when I moved out of the house I sold. Didn't have room for them and didn't need them anyway since my new place includes lawn mowing in the rent agreement.

I had never heard of an electric before today. I've always had a gas powered one. I can see why one might want an electric though with the rising cost of gas. I have no idea what they cost either. We have a cheap gas powered one. It does the job thankfully.

Well we have aways had gas we have hugh yard and so gas is just better or us.

I prefer the gas lawn mower. It doesn't waste too much gas and you can move it wherever you want.

I am from the UK and I have never heard of a gas mower. I have just realised that the US call Petrol - gas. Growing up my dad either used a manual mower or he used a motor mower which runs on petrol ( or as you call it in the US - gas). My partner cuts the grass where we live now. I have not ever used an electric or petrol mower only a manual one which my mum has at her house. My partner uses an electric mower and I think that is what he prefers to use.

I have to keep remembering that in the US you have different words to us. For example you call training shoes sneakers. You call petrol gas! It makes for a more interesting world though!
