 Now that Earl is in jail is the show going to continue or has it been cancelled? I hope it stays on, too much is already being cancelled this season.

| dragonstar13 (1211) | 3 years ago |  kyle, they ended one season with Catalina being deported, but kept the show going. I'm sure they have a way to work this out.
Or maybe not. Years ago there was a comedy police show (I think it was called Sledge Hammer) that was being cancelled so the writers had the lead character really screw up and set off a nuclear bomb. After the episode aired, the show got picked up as a last minute thing. The writers couldn't figure a way out of the cliff hanger they had created.
The next season started with flashbacks of the big explosion followed by a subtitle on the screen that read "Five years earlier." The rest of the series took place five years in the past and nobody ever mentioned the bomb again.

I think if the show continues they will have to find some way to get him out of jail or they will have to go into the future to when he is out of jail. | |

The have announced that My Name Is Earl will definitely be back in the fall. Not only will it be back, but they will be making more episodes next season than they made this season. They better not cancel Earl, I'll have to sell my TV, I only have on channel and that's practically the only show that comes on it that I really like now that they took Gilmore Girls away (by the way, whoever decided to cancel Gilmore Girls, if you are reading this, I hate you!). They would have to be some stupid to cancel Earl, that show has the potential to go on forever, even after he finishes his list he'll still have Randy to take care or and Joy and Darnell and everybody. Plus he's in jail with that friend of his, damn I can't think of the guys name, but there should definitly be a story line there. I love My Name is Earl. I'm gonna go check the NBC site now and see what they say there.......well I just checked and it doesn't say when the next new episode is but it doesn;t say anyhting about it being cancelled either, you turd, you had me so worried, hahaha.
