Can anyone list out the advantages and disadvantages of the both and which one is the best for usage??

windows are very much user friendly. most of our applications are windows compatible.device drivers are also available mainly in .exe form. so widows is better to use.
but, if you want a more secure system than windows, then you have to go for linux. virus threat is minimum in linux and its more secure in every way!!
