| |  There are so many great classic rock bands that it really hard for me to just pick one. Bad company certainly is one of the great classic bands. Today l would say Paul McCartney and Wings, but if you ask me this question tomorrow l might say something different.

| | Didn't Led Zeppelin go on tour two years ago featuring Jason Bonham (John Bonham's son)as lead drummer. I think that would qualify them as STILL a great band! But I do believe that their genre is considered Heavy Metal. Led Zeppelin was and is the Godfathers of Metal! They actually started the Metal Movement! | | | |

| |  No sorry totty i do not agree that led zeppelin was a heavy metal band. They more belong to the type of music that was classified as garage rock. I sure would say the are a classic rock band, and a damn good one of those too

| | My favorite classic rock band is definately Def Leppard! They rocked the eighties with good beats AND as a bonus, I could actually understand what they were singing. It made them stronger that they had adversity along the way. Not self induced drama like a LOT of bands of that day and this age. The drummer losing his arm in an accident would have stopped most bands in their tracks for a while, if nothing else to find another drummer. Nope, not these guys; same drummer still beats the skins for them. Just good pounding beats and a sound that sends me back to my youth. | | | | | | |

Yes Def Leppard is a great band. I remember when Pyromania came out, I listened to it all the time on my cassette walkman. And it was hard to take when the drummer lost his arm in the accident. But he continued to play great music. Def Leppard is a great choice.

| |  Oh, that question is very hard, because I love classic rock. If you ask about my favotite classic 5 bands, it would be much easier....I am the rebel.... The Doors, Queen,The Police,Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.....hmmm, after thinking about....I can keep going...:))))

KSHE FM, St. Louis, circa 60's, 1st Rock Album station...
My friend "Weird"'s college pad, with state of the art reel to reel stereo system...
Vanilla Fudge concert at Keil Auditorium...
Ok, enough of the nostalgia. My favorite rock band? Well, overall I have to go with the Stones. But, damn, Jimi Hendrix was awesome, and gotta put in Joe Cocker (can you get any better than his Woodstock performance?) and, of course let us not forget Janis Joplin, Country Joe and the Fish, Cream, I guess the list goes on...
