If you could gain health benefits from juicing would that make you start juicing |
| |
| I have been reading that there is some evidence that those who are having freshly extracted juices made by their own juicing machine are seeing many health benefits. People report that skin problems such as ezcema and psoriasis clear up without any special medication. They also suggest that hayfever may improve and that if your hair is quite grey that it may return to its normal colour. I was on a juicing plan for a week a couple of months ago and I know I felt the benefits. Even if we have just one freshly extracted juice a day plus some fresh fruit and veg within our daily meals you will feel a big difference. | | I drink fresh juices every now and then, but just cause I like the taste. The health benefits aren't that much of a reason for me to be honest. | | | | | | |

| | I think having freshly extracted juices say at least 3 times a week or even once a day does seem to speak for itself. When I do have fresh juice most days I do feel better and my skin improves. going on a week of only juices and smoothies cleared up my dry scalp. | | | |

| | The point is does knowing about the health benefits I mentioned make you want to continue juicing all the more? You have not said but I assume that is the case? | | | |

| | I have never really had a desire to juice. I probably dont know enough about it to have an educated idea of what it entails but it just sounds icky to me. Note that I do try to live healthy though. It is interesting that skin problems are cleared up by using juicing. I have always heard that you can tell what you put into your body by your skin so this may be a good concept | | | | | | |

| | If you could afford to purchase a good quality centrifugal juicer you would be able to make your own juice and find out. My juicer is about 3 years old and still working well. Juicing is not icky as long as you follow some good recipes (such as the Juicemaster ones which I recommend) and you get the right proportions. For example dont juice say some celery, cucumber and spinach as this sucks on the taste front. If you add about 2 or 3 apples to this as well as half a lime without the rind you will find it actually tastes really nice. Even adding 1/4 of a pineapple as well makes it taste even nicer. | | | |

| | Due to hygiene please make sure you buy a new juicer and not one that someone else has used. I suggest if you are unsure what a juicer looks like that you have a look on the internet. Have you checked out Jason Vale's site www.juicemaster.com as there are some pictures of juicers on there. | | | |

| | Genetically for me personally I am getting greyer. I know my mum was dying her hair when she got beyond having myself and my siblings. It is simply something I have read that people actually found that their hair turned back to normal colour from grey. I guess one way to find out is to try it. I would like to be rid of the grey hairs I do have. I tried a natural hair dye last year. | | | |

| | Gee, I surely didn't know the benefits either here, but I will check it out because I wouldn't mind juicing up. I am already working on smoothies in the morning, so a natural juice won't hurt. | | | | | | |

| | If you make your own with a good juicer you will soon find they taste delicious. It is important to get the right combination of flavours eg have the majority of your juices made up of carrot and apple or pineapple juice. Then add some cucumber, celery, spinach, lime or lemon or even courgette. Even peppers work well (not the hot and spicy ones)lol. for some juice recipes check out www.juicemaster.com | | | |

| | I have always heard that there are great benfits but my problem is I hate the taste of juice. I am managing to drink the commerical white crannberry and grape juice mixture. It is not a cocktail. I don't know if you could buy the cranberrys here. I must check out the link. | | | | | | |

| | If you think you will not like the taste try this recipe. 1/4 pineapple, 2 apples, 1/4 cucumber, half a stick of celery, 1/2 lime with peel removed, one handful of spinach. Juice all ingredients and blend in a blender with about 6 ice cubes with half a ripe avocado. It tastes delicious, sweet and creamy and you are getting so much goodness of the fruits and vegetables. | | | |

| | I wish I had the drive to juice daily. I do know the wonderful benefits and you would think that being a survivor of cancer I'd be even better at realizing the healthy aspects of juicing but alas I must confess I just don't stick with it. Perhaps if I had a decent juicer I would be better at doing it. I should invest in one. Ok, maybe I will actually start looking for a good juicer at garage sales and used stores! You've brought the brains back and hopefully I'll stick with it this time! LOL Thanks! | | | | | | |

| | It is not hygienic to use a juicer which someone else has used. I think the only time where this might be ok is if you can give all the washable parts a thorough wash in a dishwasher on a very hot wash to totally clean it out. I have a centrifugal one which I have had for 3 years it cost about £100 which would equate to about $200 dollars. You can get pretty goods ones for half that price these days. I dont know what ones are for sale in the US. It is best to compare prices and even look online as well. | | | |
