What was your last temptation? Did you fall or did you manage to overcome it?  

heheh yea you're fine there :) I don't mean to make everyone feel guilty or anything, I'm just asking out of curiosity. I felt bad with being impulsive with my spending, but it's really up to you how you feel about yours. how si your ex gf by the way? are you still in touch with her?

I know what you mean. The only time we take our cat for a drive is when we go to the vet and she will be in her small cage. She doesn't like being in a car nor walk with us. It's annoying!
But being photographer, must be close to impossible for you to overcome that temptation.

I am driving a lot, but it is not the same....yes, I love to travel and I can always find roads less traveled...because I want to stay away from big crowd...:)

It sounds exciting. roads less travelled might lead you to places less visited, now that's something I might want to take pictures of or write about.

how do you overcome smoking addiction? I have tried many things with my husband, one time I signed him up to a site newsletters for heavy smokers, but all failed LOL

I was fortunate, I had not been smoking long and was able to go "cold turkey".

BUT my husband was a very heavy smoker for many years and had tried a lot of things to break his habit. What finally WORKED for him was acupuncture. He had 3 appointmetns withthe accupuntuist one week apart. The first appointment, the acupuncturits put in 4 very tiny needles and covered them with small bandaids. Whenever my husband got a craving he just pressed on the baindaids for a second and the craving went away.

The second appointment, the acupuncturist replaced the little needles with fresh ones.

The last appointment, the needles were removed and that was it. Stopped him smoking in just 2 weeks with no cravings, no increased eating or gum chewing, no being grouchy, and all while he was working around other smokers. (It was driving them nuts! As far as they could tell he went from two packs a day to zero cigarettes with NO problems.)

He said the hardest part was the "habit" cigarettes. The ones where you just automatically light a cigarette because it is HABIT; but, since he had no cigarette to put in his mouth and light - it felt a little strange but it was not a craving and he could beat that part on his own.

The hard part is finding a trained acupuncturist. Hope this helps.

thanks for sharing this! I've been wondering what to do and since I'm not very fond of needles I never think of accupuncture. but then again this is for my hubby, not me, so I can try to take him there

The needles they use for this particular procedure are about 1/4 inch long and very fine. They are sterilizied and my husband said he barely felt them go in.

They are not the big long needles you see in pictures and movies. But, acupuncture does work when you have a trained professional doing it.

that's so tiny! 0.25 inch wow never see a needle that short, but again thanks for telling me this. I'll see local accupuncturist if they can help with my problems so then both my husband and I can be treated in the same place although not for the same reason

Please remember there are different sized needles for different types of problems. To get rid of a smoking habit, they do not need to go in very far and they need to be left in. When we were in his office, he had many different sized needles for a lot of different purposes.

Acupuncture will not fix everything (for example: it won't set and heal a broken bone; but, it can stop the pain from the bone).

But, acupuncture is less painful than when my cat scratches me or I get a sliver. So talk to the acupuncturist and he may be able to help you too. It is definately worth a try.

yes sure I understand that, how can a needle fix a broken bone LOL someone on here said it could help me deal with pain during my period so I would try that. I really don't like needles but if they are that small and painless I'd like to try

Acupuncture is supposed to be excellent for pain relieve so it should help.
