Religion, A Taboo, or a To Do?

I do too, love discussing others beliefs, as I learn alot about the person, and the world we live in..

I also believe that even in learning the opposing view we learn to understand further our own views too.

I do not believe in discussing for reasons or converting,reverting, or gaining adherents to my path either.. I believe that Spirit/G-d truely guides us where we are meant to go if we are truthfully searching.

Yes, discussing I think will help dispell fears and sterotypes alot.

It depends, some people really do see religion and politics as taboos not to discuss publicly. I personally agree with you and I do not see it as a taboo, and I believe these topics should be discussed, with the common decency and courtesy not to be pushing beliefs onto others. Most major religions all talk about G-d's gift of free will, So when someone tries to push their religion onto me. I remind them, that I value G-ds gift of choice, and free will, so I would appreciate if you respect my choice to live and worship differently than you do.

Yes, while some of the people who are being forceful and hurtful, some really have no idea how much they are forcing or hurting, another until it is brought to their attention.. Even then it has to be dealt with the right way or it will make the situation worse.
