Welcome to sunny South Africa's reality check.

I have been living in South Africa all my life and to be honest still am pretty proud of the country I live in. Obviously there was ups and downs and one of the lowest down points of our country was when our parlement changed from the National Party to the African National Congress Party.

All of a sudden everyone's comfort zones where shook and the goverment made very bad descitions to say the least. In the last 10 years our economy dropped way below par and even the basic needs like security fell under risk. We have one of the highest crime rates in the world.

About one year ago the company I work for promoted me to a possition where I was forced to travel a lot. In this year I came to realize that it does not matter where you goes, home is still the best place to come to. Yes, there are pretty extrodinary places in the world, but there is no place like home. Even if you have to lock yourself in a jail of a housse to live in.

Now I want to start this discussion to here your opinion about South Africa and also answer most of the questions most of you have about South Africa.
