Can one BUY LOVE in this Beautiful World?

What in the aces is this thing they call "LOVE" ?

This might seem like an existential question. But I am not Jean Paul Sartre.

I wish it was like "Potatoes" and "onions"
I wish I could buy it or bargain for it
I wish it could be traded on
I wish that I could have "PUT" and "CALL" options on it
I wish it could be listed on the "WHOLESALE PRICE INDEX"
I wish it is eventually a COMMODITY

Do you know that the price of onions determines the state of a nation and the state of governance as also the BUDGET that the Finance Minister presents.

Well, if that be the case -

Why CAN'T I ask for LOVE to be on par with ONIONS !
Since it determines the state of our moral being, since it controls our life interests.

Why do we crave for LOVE so much??
People crave for it as much as one craves for Ice cream
Or a Junkie waits for his/her next fix

Does LOVE demand LOVE?
Does SACRIFICE demand LOVE?
Does LIKE demand LOVE?
Does CONJUGALITY demand LOVE?

By the same token,

Does a person's SACRIFICE get him/her LOVE?
Does a person's LOVE get him/her LOVE?

Why does it make us feel that if one LOVES - it is something that needs to be rewarded ?

What is an even bargain? What is the correct value to pay in return for LOVE? What is the correct price? What is the payment?

SACRIFICE?
LOYALTY?
DEDICATION?
DEVOTION?
RESPECT?
ADMIRATION?
LIKE?
AFFECTION?
LOVE... LOVE ... LOVE?

The same rule of law applies to RESPECT -

Is returning RESPECT for RESPECT - a correct price?
Is returning LOVE for RESPECT - the exact value?

IS ANYTHING in RECIPROCATION for ANYTHING - THE ONLY PARAMETER?

In the end - WHAT IS LOVE?.
