Groups, forums and communites . . . why can't I make them work?

I've been reading and re-reading The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron since 1998. I absolutely love the book, what it's about and how much I've learned . . . but I can't seem to make it work. I've tried joining groups, communities and forums focusing specifically on the content and practices in this book but I can't seem to stick with any of them. What are your experiences with this book? What are your experiences with communities, forums and groups geared toward this book? Can you make any suggestions for me about how to stick with it or a suggestion about a specific community, forum or group?
