That maybe true. But if you're typing on a keyboard repeatedly to write a book that sells to millions of people and wins you the Pulitzer prize, then it might be worth getting Carpel Tunnel.

If the pushups make me stronger and more healthy, then I doubt they would be pointless.

I agree with you that pushups will do your body good but it should be done in sessions with break time in between.

That's what made me start on my quest to do 1000 continuous pushups. It's like runnning for 30 minutes. Or maybe more like running for 2 hours. Would you tell a person running a marathon - don't run continuously?:)

I could do that, but then it would be such an easy record to break. The current chain, without the clips that are still in my co-worker's locker is only about 10 feet. That's nothing.

We'd probably have a total of 25 feet with the ones he still has.

I have to give it more time in order to make it more of a challenge for anyone trying to challenge my record.

true - but meanwhile, you can get a record anyway, and you're name will be in teh books. then keep working on it and when somebody breaks it, you can get it back:)

I've got to get together with my former co-worker and discuss that.

you know though - sometimes they have an arbitrary minimum. For example, there isn't a world record for doing the most amount of chin-ups or pull-ups in 24 hours. But they have it arbitrarily set at a minimum of 3500 (it might because the record for 12 hours is 3100 something). Anyway, there might be an arbitrary minimum as well.

Well, I'll just have to wait and see.

This is something I'll do in time, but not for a while.

Back in the past i seen a guy on the tonight comedy shows who would challenge anybody in the audience to pushups. He could always beat them. I don't know if he has the record or not.
