Music is the universal language! It communicates from the inner self of the musician/composer to the inner self of the listener. It's a way of communicating on a fundamental level, and has no need for words. I think it's the most natural way of communicating, but most humans have perhaps lost their natural musical expression as words took over. Have you ever noticed how some types of music seem to speak to different animals? When I was a teenager, practising my cello with the window open, I noticed that whenever I played Bach's cello suites, the birds would start to gather and join in. Other pieces I would play wouldn't have that effect at all, so I know it wasn't just the sound of the instrument which excited them. Music can be magic.
