If heat kills germs, why are hospitals so cold?

I'm going all the way back to my Junior High school days where in our science class we were taught that heat increases the the ability for germs to multily, is there any truth to this?

if hospitals are hot, how can the patients rest and recover from their illness, if they can't rest then they will be stressed and the illness would progress.their are many ways to kill bacteria, and there are bacteria who can live in hot places too.

Actually, bacteria THRIVES in heat. The only time heat can kill bacteria is if it is over 450F or boiling point. Coldness, on the other hand kills bacteria instantly, they cannot survive it.

The opposite is in fact true. Hot places have more germs then cold places. If you put bread in a freezer it will not mold.. but if you put bread in your microwave and leave it in there, it will get gross. The same for germs. Damp, hot places are big germ breeders. Cold places have less germs.
