This is not love that your friend is feeling. There are many reasons why a girl would stay with a boyfriend that is not treating her right, but they all pretty much add up to low self-esteem.
It would be different if they were married, a marriage vow changes everything. You should encourage your friend to talk to a counselor about her relationship. This kind of thing can become a very unhealthy pattern in her life.
You should also help your friend to feel better about herself. Maybe you can compliment some of the things that you like about her. Make sure that you are sincere though. Sometimes our friends can help us to see good qualities in ourselves that we never knew were there. She needs to realize that she deserves better.

Your friend is not on her right mind at this time maybe because of the breakup. But it's good that you are there to guide her. She needs a little shaking, and that may take time. Just be very patient in making her go back to her senses. Make her realize that she's just adding more pain to the wound. Talk to her a lot!

Very simply " it takes two to tango". I think they are not inlove but in lust or inflame with one another. With love comes understanding and trust. When you are taken and still want to have sex with an ex partner, definitely, there is something wrong with the present relatioship then or something missing. If you were totally happy and contented with your present partner, why look for somebody else to have sex with unless you were just toying with that person. Or you just cannot have enough sex with your present partner. Both ways, you certainly do not deserve to be in a relationship if that is the case!
