Gone Digital with New Sony TV.   

I have been resisting switching over to digital TV for several years here in the UK, but a while back I took the plunge.

We were with NTL (now Virgin) and when they first contacted me about switching over to digital, I felt it was a con to get more money, but last month, I took the plunge because we kept losing channels on the analogue box - and it always seemed to be my favourite channels.

At the same time, we bought a new TV (the first in 20 years). Of course for me it had to be a Sony because our old Sony TV was still working great. We got the 32in LCD that was HD ready. Now we got the best of both worlds. We have freeview digital from the TV and the Virgin digi box plugged into a DVD recorder and we still got our old VCR that records from the analogue and we got it connected to the Virgin box. We get to keep the analogue signal here in South Wales until 2009. We hardly every miss anything now as we can record different channels all at the same time. The problem is now is that we've got DVDs and videos that I doubt we'll ever have the time to watch!:-)
