Christmas in July? When do YOU start your Christmas shopping?

I normally shop right before Christmas. However, if I do see something someone will like, I'll grab is well in advance.

When my kids were younger and I shopped for my sister's kids too I started in the fall. I have so few on my list now and they are picky. I wait until Nov. and Dec. I am in school and I don't shop alot when classes are going on. I read and study and work. I just shop for the necessities.

Yes, I start shopping the day after Christmas. I look for bargains all year around and stack the gifts in my closet. I have 25 people in my family/friends to shop for including 2 doctors and their assistants. I also have 8 December birthdays as well. I make jewelry so some of my gifts are made throughout the year. I try to shop for things online and I get a lot of freebies for stocking stuffers. By the time Christmas is here I'm done!

I also start the day after christmas and usually by fall have all the gifts bought..on sale I might add. I have a hard time understanding why people wait to so close and have to pay a bigger price then if they watched closer to clearance and sale items. I always buy all my gift wrap etc right after christmas too. I have enough for a couple of years.

I shop for christmas whenever what I want to get people is on sale. It may be in january, in july or in december. We do this with birthday-presents as well. We have more and more people that we buy gifts for so we have to try to make the most of our money.

I do my shopping for Christmas throughout the year.

Mainly because things get so busy we need to get things in and sometimes later on they're harder to get. So I always make sure I can get it when It's possible, if it means sitting around for awhile.
