Rising numbers of women in Britain are seeking state-funded cosmetic surgery on their genitals, doctors said on Friday. "More and more women are said to be troubled by the shape, size or proportions of their vulvas", wrote Lih Mei Liao and Sarah Creighton from London's UCL Elizabeth.
Articles in women's magazines about "designer vaginas", the rising popularity of cosmetic surgery and Internet promotion by private health clinics were all fuelling demand.

| |  Gosh I live in the UK and I haven't heard about this nonsense! How ridiculous. At the end of the day though, it's their body and they can do what they like with it BUT as long as this cosmetic surgery is not being provided by the NHS when there are so many people awaiting life-saving operations. If it's happening here in the UK I'm sure it's all started in the USA as we tend not get ideas like that unless our American friends start it LOL!
