Freedom Is Not Free. I Am A Disabled Vietnam Veteran.

When I came back from Vietnam, the war protesters (Hippies)

Spit on me at the Airport and called me Baby Killer.

We must make sure this never happens again.

This list is the place to show our Troops And Veterans We Support Them.

We need to keep them in our prayers and be thankful for what they are doing for us.

We wouldn't be here today with out the sacrifice that so many of our men

and women in uniform make.

If you know of someone who is Serving Our Country, Please Join This List.

I am so sorry for the indignities that you were forced to suffer when you came home. I was born in 1972 so I don't know what it must have been like for you or for anyone else who lived through that time. But I know that you didn't deserve to be spit upon or called names or belittled in anyway what so ever. I am ashamed for the people who did those things. How could they be so mean to our troops from that time. You did a job that you were sent to do. You and so many like you lived through horrific events that no man or woman should ever have to live through. I had an uncle who was a Vietnam vet. I remember when he lived with us, he would wake up screaming out the names of his friends in the middle of the night. I remember the great sadness in his eyes all the time. I remember him telling me once, how when he got home, people threw dog feces on him.

I also remember the night he burned his house down. He thought that the Vietnamese enemy had him surrounded. He wasn't going to let them take him alive. So he set fire to his house. He wouldn't come out. Thankfully the Fire Rescue was able to get him out, but not without a fight. I know that many Vietnam vets have these types of issues. And I pray that they find peace.

I agree, we cannot let something so horrible ever happen again to our troops. I hear people, like that stupid Rosie O'Donnell, call our troops terrorist agents. I just want to slap those people. These are our troops. They are our people. Whether we agree with the war or not, we need to support our troops and be there for them when they come home. We need to welcome them and thank them for doing a job that we aren't willing to do ourselves.

You weren't a baby killer and you should never have been spit on. I am so sorry that happened to you. I can only tell you that I thank you. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing the job you did. I thank you for being brave enough and willing to serve your country. I thank you for being brave enough to protect the freedoms of others. And I thank you will everything that I have for paying the price of freedom so that my son can grow up in what I think is the greatest country in the world. Thank you.
