Mr.Right/Ms.Right

it has happened to both of us. Our mothers both have rejected our partner for a long long time. We both just went on with our relationship, we then planned our wedding in spring 2005 for September 2005 to the ultimate dislike of our families so what its our life and thats important. Neither of us did want to live with their biological family to the end of their life but we wanted to make that commitment to each other and that was the thing that counted.

Our stubbornness had a good outcome. Meanwhile our mothers have respected what we did.

I would just bring her over for dinner or something like that. If they didn't like her then that's their problem, they'd just have to deal with it.

my parents met my husband while we were dating. my mother never approved of him because he didn't have enough money. now more than 10 yrs later, i think she has a thing for him. he makes better money now and all she ever talks about is how handsome he gets the older he gets. my dad never said whether or not he liked him. he just said he was proud of us.
