Dirty clothes  

There have been many attempts at making a combination washer/dryer through the years but have met with failure mainly due to the water seal of the drum shaft. A seal can be made very successfully to just seal water from leaking out of the drum shaft for a washer but when it comes to the heat from the dryer it causes the seal to fail.
The biggest difference with clothing and dishes is that dishes do not absorb much water therefore it does not require much to get them dry. Clothing gets saturated with water and even when spun at high speed are still wet. A "T" shirt after being spun still has more water in it than all of the dishes in a dishwasher load.

Beofre I bought my house I always had to go to the laundromat. I hated it so I always promised myself that when I got a house I would make sure I had my own washer and dryer. So last year when I bought my house I also treated myself to a brand new washer and dryer. I have a laundry room that is located right off to the side of my kitchen. This comes in handy because I can do laundry as I am cooking dinner.

my washer and dryer are located in the weirdest place possible. the kitchen. one day when i have the money i am either going to move them somewhere else or buy the front loaders and put a countertop over them so they don't look so bad in the kitchen.

We have a washer and dryer located in a large closest in one of our hallways. I'm so happy we have a washer and dryer in our home. In my single days when I was living by myself I remember having to make trips to the laundromat. I hated doing laundry. It was such a pain to load everything in the car, take it to the laundromat, sit there for almost 2 hours, and then take it home to unload it. Now that we have a washer and dryer I actually don't mind doing laundry.

Boy I am glad you said something about dirty clothes.
That reminded me that I need to throw a load in the washer.

My washer and dryer are in the utility room at the rear of the hous4e.
I dont bother seperating my clothes.
I just throw everything in together and turn it on.

I have my own washer and dryer, my first set I might add. We got them from a thrift store down the road, after we recently moved to Georgia. We have a half bath and laundry room combo type room, its got a sink, toilet, and the washer & dryer all in it. I try to do my laundry at least three times a week, different types of course. The only laundry that I find myself washing frequently is underwear, and towels. I find that those are the neccesities as far as needing to be clean all the time. I was informed that not having clean underwear, and damp underwear can cause yeast, kidney, and bladder infections. After I was informed of this I made it a point to wash and dry underwear at least every other day, its just better that way. You stay out of the hospital and you feel clean and fresh.

I have always had a washer and dryer in the homes that I have lived in. When I lived at home with my parents the washer and dryer were located in the basement. When I first moved out to an apartment of my own the washer and dryer were located in the kitchen because there wasn't anywhere else to place it. The next place I lived had the washer and dryer in the bathroom, made it easy to just toss your clothes in. These days the washer and dryer are located in the laundry room off of the kitchen. Also a convenient place to have it.

I have and do my own laundry, I have a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, but I dont really use the dryer much, I usually hang the clothes outside on the clothes line.

Currently my washer and dryer are in the basement but I'm hoping to add a laundry room to my main floor in the next few years. I was going to do it this year but it was time for a career change so it'll just have to wait a little longer unless I'm forced to relocate to go after my dream job.

I live in an apartment building along with over 100 other people. We all have to share a Laundry room, where there are 5 washers and 4 dryers.

I usually try and get two washers going at one time and then dry the clothes all together in one dryer. Right now, there are only three dryers working and it's annoying that we have to wait weeks for it to be fixed.

Most days, people wash their clothes and then they're waiting over an hour for a free dryer.
