Do you think there is a difference in peanut butter? your favorite?

Yes my husband is the same way the other brands are not as good .Jiffy peanut butter is the best of all My husband and me both like the extra chunky also.

Oh, yes. There is a big difference. Jiff is my favorite. But I will eat almost any other. Jiff is the Cadillac of peanut butters, unless you can find some special mixture. I like some of the natural kind, but they sometimes separate. Every peanut butter taste different to me.

There are a lot of commercial peanut butters. I used to love peanut butter but those were when they were not as commercialized. Another is, of it being carcinogenic after it has been stored for sometime. I have not known exactly what the shelf-life of the peanut butter is.

Anyway, the peanut butter we prefer now at home are those that are homemade. They are cooked, sold and delivered according to the orders they get. The home-made peanut butters have oil at the top of the container. I guess that's what makes it taste better, when you have to mix first the oil with the 'peanut butter'. It also spreads easier. I think you'll really know the difference once you have been used to a particular brand.

I too am a Jiff-oholic it is by far the best Peanut Butter. I remember in the olden days you couldn't get Jiff in Canada. It was horrible, we had to make midnight runs across the border to get our fix. My hubby doesn't get the peanut butter addiction as he is from Australia and thinks Vegimite is King.

There is a difference. I like peanut butter than is real peanuts, no additives. We are on a budget and my husband bought some hydrogenated peanut butter because it is cheap, and he has not had one slice of bread with it. He expects me to eat it and it does not even taste like peanut butter. All because it is cheap. Why I am even ashamed to make peanut butter cookies with it. I like Squirrel peanut butter or any kind that is not hydrogenated and is not sweetened with sugar. In fact, I think I will go through the internet and look for a recipe on how to make peanut butter. We do have a blender, so it should work.
