do you still believe santa claus(father christmas)?????

I'm too old to be believing in Santa Claus but I sure like to be Santa for the kids. Nothing beats the satisfaction of making kids happy come Christmas season. We're nearing the middle of the year.., Christmas' just around the corner:)

I believe in good old St. Nicholas but I'm not sold out on the idea of a modern santa, i.e. what we see in malls, television and movies.

Christmas and the message it is supposed to convey need not be delivered by an icon, such as Santa. Charity and generosity can find a place in modernism even in simple, non-lavish acts of kindness.

Christmas need be wrapped by media's hysteria over the red and modern St. Nick. Though Santa Claus may well be rooted in the culture of many nations and the mentality of children, still, the modern-day Santa is but a myth perpetuated by a world hungry for love and a present-day hero who would be representative of the Christmas season.

Believing in Santa Claus isn't childish, but I would like everyone on these questions. Would the belief in Santa bring about tangible outputs for the world, more than the warmth and spectacle of shows portraying him? Would Santa Claus qualify as an icon for children and everyone else who believes in the spirit of Christmas? And even if Santa brings all the happiness and excitement to the world, does he really come during Christmas, or isn't it the case that our parents and relatives are the ones who take on the role of Santa simply because he just doesn't exist?

Celebrate Christmas, even if Santa Claus isn't part of it. Come to think of it.

sweetie, santa claus was a man in turkey, who gave gifts to the poor and from their this wonderful man. Then it spread to European and finally to north america.

There will always be a santa claus in spirit.
