Why! Why Must it be Zombies!?  

i learned from your previous posts that you love to write stories, since you said that the graphics were great in your dreams, why not write it down describe what you saw, probably it would help you to overcome your fear of zombies. :)

I do get dreams about zombies especially when I was still much younger and I hate them too. In my dreams, I am usually being chased by them and I was just trying to get away. Most of the times it would start with me finding myself in a cemetery and I don't know the way out and that those zombies would just start chasing at me. grrr....

Well I would have to say that you should maybe evaluate whats goin on in your life or more so in your head...Zombies would be the perfect symbol of feeling detached from the world or certain ppl maybe....Think about it, a zombie functions on its own but is actually dead....could it be that in some area of your life you are just gion through the motions but are dead (numb) inside....does that make sense? Or is there something coming up in your life that you are goin to be doing but inside you're really not excited or happy etc etc about it?

'S good to vent, and while you're venting, try venting that zombies do not exist. I do not think this is uncommon; to visualize things that do not exist and love them or fear them. Humans have been doing it since thought was a viable thing, and slowly, obviously too slowly for you, humans discount that which is not real and embrace that which is. So...whatever you are embracing, make sure it is not zombies (pun, pun). You may have it for a lifetime, you may outgrow it next week!
I recently read an article on why (how?) people are drawn to(entertained by) fearful things, the things horror movies are made of. It is the thrill and a fulfillment of the dark part of our nature. Albeit that dark part is different for each individual, we all have it to some degree. Yours' manifests itself through zombies. Mine is cold, cooked spinach and wet paper products (which I see as super yucky). To each their own darkness ;-)
BTW, keep on writing. You have a good story line and I want you to see it through (the current snippets we are sharing).

perhaps its your subconscience playing off that fear.
maybe there is something going on in your life or is about to happen that you will find terrifying.
I would be interested to find out more about this dream.
Maybe there is something in the dream that will help you deal with whatever is happening or going to happen.
I sometimes have dreams about not being able to find my kids or having them taken away from me
I wake up terrifyied and drenched with sweat.

im afraid also of those things when im still young..but now well not anymore since i know they dont exist just a figments of the writers imagination in movies and ours as well..

What's the matter with you? Why are you so terrified of something that's not real? You will NEVER encounter a zombie in your life, so why such fear? Where did it come from? What you need is a big dose of reality! Get that stupid crap out of your head and get on with your life and if you can't do it on your own, then you should seek out help! Good Luck!

This topic is right up my alley! I have lots of zombie dreams, and I usually force myself to dream that I'm flying above them to safety (like Storm from X-Men flying). Anyway, I usually write the dream down with the general things that have happened, and then I add the details if I remember them. This is an excellent way to write stories for your own and others' enjoyments.

Eh? Why zombies. I'm cool with them. Probably because I've played enough House of the Dead, Parasite Eve, various RPGs and a little Resident Evil that I'm not scared of them ;p

I'll come back to this thread when I think of some mythical creature I'm not so confident about.
