Quick question about best responses  

Personally to me theres no time limit and if you see a response that you can relate to and agree with then I think thats the one you should mark as your best response. Theres no rules to it just mark the ones you like that easy.

I think it is just a matter of personal preference. There is no rule that I know of that says you have to mark best response within a certain period of time.

I personally think it is best to give it a few day to a week and then mark best response if you can. I have seen many posts that have only been up a few hours and the best response is already marked. I don't think a few hours or even a day gives enough people time to respond to the post to have the option at best response. I try to wait until there has been at least 5 or 6 days since the last post on my topic to mark best response.

I feel like that gives plenty of time for late comers to come and add their response to my post. Plus gives me plenty of time to mull over the topics and see which response I feel is best instead of just deciding after a few posts and then seeing a post that I like better later.

Once you mark best response you can't change it or take it back.

There is really no time limit , you can do this whenever you feel like it . Some people like to wait a couple of weeks and some people like to do it everyday . I pick a best response everyday just so it is not as hard to pick a best reponse out of a bunch of answers and find it easier to do it everyday then try to get it all done weeks later and that way I can start new discussions everyday but some people like to wait til they have a bunch of responses before they pick one they like . It all goes on what works best for you .

I usually wait several days or even a week. I wait to see how many replies I get. If by then I only have about 5 replies I will usually check to see if there is a suitable one that I can give best response to. If not then I will leave it and wait another few days or a week. More recently I have neglected my best responses until another friend's discussion reminded me to check my unresolved discussions. I dont constantly start new discussions every day but I do have some discussions which I cannot mark up as they dont have any replies.
