ATrestaurant with your friend & you both run out of money?  |

 I know no will go to restaurant or hotel if don't have money in the pocket/wallet, but just imagine such situation You are at restaurant with your boyfriend Or girlfriend & ohh Boy you both run out of money when Check/Bill arrived on the table & waiter is waiting to see some dollars/Sterling/Pounds/euros/rupees/Dinar/Dirhams to be dropped in bill/check plate
First thing I'll do that I'll call my another friend or family member who could be close by to that place to bail me out from such embarrassing situation, Cause washing plates could be only option for both of us left to pay back whatever we had so gracefully earlier
What would you do or both would do?

 trinidadvelasco (9110) | 3 years ago |  oh, really? i thought that this is no longer observed anywhere in the world. i know that the owners or managers will immediately call on the authorities so as to make the erring clients to pay without fail. so most of us now, either make sure that the money is in the wallet before ordering or make sure that they have their plastics with them to cover for the bill.

| ssh123 (18249) | 3 years ago | A friend of mine offered to host dinner and being a big officer in a government department, his offer was accepted and after dinner, It was found that the bill amount was quite heavy and this officer had forgotten his wallet which also had credit cards. I came out of the restaurant and contacted his chaufer to go home and bring money from his wife. IT took an hour or so to get out of the retaurant and it was really an embarassing situation. In small cities, the restaurant owners are familiar with their customers and in such a situation they allow you to pay the bill later. | |

| maryannemax (10433) | 3 years ago |  i have heard about that before. even here in the philippines, i was told that if one can't pay a restaurant bill due to some reasons, he/she will end up in the kitchen washing plates. i think it's true but still, i don't want myself to be washing those loads of dishes. i'd rather call someone for help.

| 2. trinidadvelasco (9110) | 3 years ago | this situation is possible. what if the pickpocket got hold of your wallet or an officemate took your money without your knowing about it. and then, of course, the girlfriend expects you to foot the bill, so she may not have that much amount with her. i doubt it if the owner will let you and the girlfriend wash the dishes for punishment. i believe they will call the authorities so you will be forced to pay. if there are no plastics to cover for the payment, there is only one option left: call on somebody for help. that's right, that is the only option that will ever be in existence. | |

but you can ensure that you are not caught up is such a situation.
before entering a restaurant you need to ensure the following things
1. You are carrying enough cash with you.
2. You are carrying your credit/debit card.
3. The restaurant you are entering is not too costly so that you would not be able to afford it with the amount of money/credit yo are carrying with you.
So i would suggest to follow these instructions to avoid being caught up in such a dangerous situation.

He can take something as security until I fetch some more money to pay (my mobile and give a receipt for example) or we can do some work in the restaurant to pay for the remainder of the meal.
I wouldn't ask someone to lend it to me as it was my mistake to sort out but that is just me,some family would be glad to lend to us but i am not happy to ask them.

| 6. archer1811 (878) | 3 years ago |  What if i have my credit card with me or my boyfriend have a credit card? is it counted? Or i should say we both forgot our wallet? Wahhh what am i going to do? Maybe i will my boyfriend do a move or if i have a friend living near the restaurant i call him/her and i borrow money..But what if i dont have a friend living near that restaurant? Or all my friends or family members cant go there to send us money? Maybe we have to wash dishes rather than they send us to jail!! Wahhhh i dont want to happen that to me....What a disaster....At least you remind me and all our friends here to dont go into the restaurant or other places without assuring that they have enough money on their pocket...Thanks!!!
