I don't know where it is, and not made any enquiries, but that would be the birthplace of Zen Buddhism and I would want to experience any essence that may be there.:-)

2. skewedsolipsism (162) | 3 years ago | Wow! Sounds like a lovely trip! Are you planning it on your own or going through a tour group? I'd think that if you fear for your safety a tour group would be the best way to go as they are sure to keep you on the safer track (in any country or destination, not just India).

If your visit is based on the customs of India, you should visit the South India, where you can visit a lot of temples. If you are visiting for hill stations, you should visit the North India, where you have the Himalayan Mountain Range with a lot of hill stations there. You have a few hill stations at the south too. Apart from these, you can visit Taj Mahal, Delhi Monuments etc., too.. Welcome to India.

4. funny52f (5136) | 3 years ago | A friend of ours just arrived from India and he came home safe, his limbs and senses are all intact.LOL.
He said he loved the food there, but he was complaining about the internet which he said was veryyyyyy sloooowwww. Then he had the chance to go places in barefoot because he said that was a requirement in that place.LOL.. Barefoot? Would you do that? But there are many animals roaming the streets, right? Isn't there any danger of stepping on their droppings? I wonder.

7. sukumar794 (2393) | 3 years ago | I'm from INDIA, the southernmost state of KERALA. If you land up in North, don't miss Taj Mahal . The beauty of the monument will linger very long in your mind. As the eastern borders are troublesome areas, I would not advise you to visit Kashmir and adjacent areas. If you plan to come down south, you have lots of places to feed your eyes upon. Mahabalipuram near Chennai, Charminar in Hyderabad, garden city of Bangalore are worth visiting . Further down south there is our beautiful land of Kerala, the palm-fringed serene place nicknamed 'God's own country '. You will definitely carry back with you sweet memories of your visit to the backwaters, lagoons, bird sanctuaries, Kovalam beach resort etc. If you love nature's bounty you have many more places to spend awhile . You are most welcome to India.

8. hersmart4ever (4396) | 3 years ago | I had never been to India but Ive heared so many things about the land because I have so may Indian friends. I suggest you try to go the capital which is New Delhi. There is also a tourist site there called Agra where you could find the famous Taj Mahal - The Symbol of Love Engraved in Stone. Also try Chennai. It boasts of its tour packages and Ive heard that the Hotels there were very good. You will be safe inside tourist spots because they preserve these places and make sure they wont have negative reputations among tourists.

elshaddai123 (2764) | 3 years ago | Welcome to Kerala, here we have wooden boats normal boats are available for backwater trip, if you are taking some packages available in your country you consider as authentic, it is better. While coming to Kerala, I will help you in whatever way you want. Please tell me what is your program. India is a wide country and you need enough time to travel from one end to another.I would like to suggest you to plan for Kerala alone for this time.
