Two or 3 months ago I did a discussion on People PC charging me for someone else's internet. I have been disputing this for months now. I even changed my card number and today I see $19.90 taken out of my account AGAIN!!!! For last month it was rejected but today it slipped by again.
I do not understand how they keep charging me. I am not their customer! I demanded a refund and they said they don't give refunds. They said they would give me a month's free service. I told them: I'M NOT YOUR CUSTOMER!!!!! Then they said, "Ok ma'am for security purposes what is "Eric's father's middle name?" I said I'M NOT YOUR CUSTOMER!!! i DON'T KNOW!!! These people have been a brick wall. They agreed to cancel the internet of these people since they are not the one paying for it.
People PC asked me to keep paying $3 so the people won't be without email. I told them NO! You have no right to use my checking account to pay their internet bill.
We have been going around and around for months now. I finally tonight got a confirmation number that they will cancel their internet as of June 28th. I told them I want my money back now! They said they don't give refunds.. so I paid for this whole month of June.
I have emailed my banking and explained it.. I will also contact my bank to dispute this charge.
Has anyone ever had to go around in circles with companies that don't listen to you?
People PC wants me to call the people and tell them to straighten it out. I told them that I would not call them.. I have called them 3 times to no avail. The owner of the account says he is paying the bill too and People PC is getting paid twice!
I told People pc that he is their customer they can call them. I am done! I am so mad I could spit nails.
So has anything this aggravating ever happened to you? Have you ever helped someone one time and it turn around to bite you in the rear end?
For those that don't know I helped someone out in March one time and have been billed ever since. I've been disputing it... and we've been going around in circles.

2. DarlingGirl (588) | 3 years ago | I found out tonight that if you want fraudulent charges removed or refunded, you must: 1. File a Police Report 2. Bring it to the bank, and ask to file an "Affidavit of Forgery". Then get it notarized (at least one bank employee is usually notarized, and will do it for you for free). 3. Wait ten days. Apparently it takes that long for the bank to get its**** together. 4. The fraudulent charges will be reversed, and the fellow who was stealing from you (or not, as the case may be -- that's for the police to find out) will probably not have his Internet, and/or be will in jail for a few days.
Why do I know this? I'm in a dispute with PayPal right now. I'll be trotting to the bank tomorrow to take care of it.

I disputed the other charges... got 2 of them rejected...and now today is another bill that slid in. They keep billing my account. I have a new card number.. They shouldn't even have access to my account because I have a new debit card.
Nobody forged anything... it is this electronic stuff that People PC keeps doing even after I keep telling them that they are billing the wrong person.

3. villageanne (5888) | 3 years ago | You are not the only person who has had problems with People PC. Did you contact The attorney General for you state. They can get you results and then you dont have to wrorry about it and it is free. I have used them before with great results

I've emailed my bank through my online banking... and I will call the 1800 number at my bank tomorrow.. and if I get nowhere I will call my branch on Monday. I have gotten charges refunded before when I got scammed.

I cant find it for you right now as my eyes are starting to blur. Bad night for me. Anyway you should be able to scroll down the page to find information on how to complain and such. if not contact the solicitor generals office.

charlene2350 (4850) | 3 years ago | Yayyyy I talked with the bank today at the 800 number. I talked to a dispute specialist. They are giving me back my money in 24 to 48 hours. They are declining the payment to people pc... plus they are informing them they do not have permission to debit my account.
The funny thing is.. I had the owner of the account on the phone at the time I was talking to my bank, so she helped me with some of the info talking to my bank. My friend discontinued People PC service last month and the company is still debiting my account just like it is an active account.
Anyway it will be resolved in 48 hours tops. I thank you guyz at mylot for allowing me to vent about this last night. It really had me thrown for a loop... but it is ok now. My money will be added back.

or if these people are going to send a bailiff to your house. or if they are going to put the account in collections,
yes you have stopped the payment but it doesn't mean they will stop wanting payment.
be careful with this, you don't want it to mess up your credit rating.

The company keeps billing me for an account that doesn't even exist. They assured me it would stop, but I don't trust them. I am changing my bank account number tomorrow or Wednesday, just as soon as I can.

I have filled out the affidavit, and it will be sent to them tomorrow... but the money has already been put back into my account.. Somehow my old card was still linked to my new card... it was like a replacement card for the old card... so the bank did not catch that they are not supposed to let that purchase through... Anyway the bank is issuing a brand new card not linked at all with the former card. No one will be able to do this to me again.

charlene2350 (4850) | 3 years ago | My bank explained to me that when I allowed that one payment, the People PC sent a form that is like a{permission slip) to my account. Even when I changed my card number the old slip was still attached to my account. Whoever directed me last time did not do the right thing. So now I have to cancel my bank account and start a new one to be protected.

I know we are supposed to send in our new card number if we decide to change. I have not tried to just let them do the change themselves. But it's "scary" if it is not a legitimate expense like your case's.

You are probably not the only ones they've done this to. When I was young and naive my girls' babysitter asked me to go guarentor for them to rent a TV. Of course they stopped paying and I rec'd a nasty letter from the rental company. I told them the situation and that was it...I was off the hook. They just asked me to help them locate these people. I did what I could and never heard anything again. I'm just wondering now if that has had any effect on my credit rating. I hope you get past this as soon as possible. Good luck.
