What's your favorite Austen?

I like Pride and Prejudice, but I think my favorite will always be Emma. I have read Persuasion and liked it. I have Mansfield Park in my stack of things to read.

My favorite is Austen Powers: Gold Member. Awesome!!

You know, I was going to say that Jane Eyre was my favorite, but it was written by Bronte, so I can't say that, can I? I don't think I read much Austen, but I was a great fan of Bronte. Jane Eyre had the tragic hero and heroine and their love was not only forbidden, it was also angst filled and hugely romantic. The character of Mr. Rochester was one of my favorite all time men. Also, um, it was, Dickens, yes, that wrote the one with Pip, um, Great Expectations! That's it! Ooooh, Mrs, Haversham, Estella and Pip. Whew! I loved that book so, so much! Also, the one with Heathcliff - another Bronte, I think, on the moors, um, oh, I can't think of it now!!!! Damn! And Cathy, that was her name in the book. Damn! Still can't think of it. It'll come to me. One thing I really loved was that in the movie they made of Jane Eyre, they had George C. Scott play Mr. Rochester. That was so great because I always, always saw that character as looking exactly like George C. Scott! How great that was for me! Geez, I've been rambling like crazy here, typing exactly as I've been thinking. Sorry, D. Got a little carried away. But I just love those sweeping novels of passion. At least, I used to. Haven't read one in a long time. I've got it!!! Wuthering Heights! That was the name of the book with Heathcliff and Cathy.

Emma is good but my favorite is P&P. I watched that in college with Collin Firth and it was by far one of the best adaptations.

Collin also played Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones's Diary, both parts.

I like Pride and prejudice. Ive read the book and ive seen the movie, Ive even bought a dvd copy of it;-)
