 Amazon has been trading for a number of years now, with prices which are usually low for the books that they are selling. However what is not always generally known is that they can give you a discount if you have your own website.
If you join them as an Amazon Associate and put a link to them on your website, then anyone buying a book from that link - INCLUDING YOURSELF, will generate a comission for you. The comission is a sliding scale one which starts at around 4%. This can be quite a saving for you, and if you can persuade others to order via your link then you can get quite a lot back. I use Amazon U.K. I don't know if clicking on this first then going to Amazon.com will still generate a comission.
It doesn't cost you anything to do this, and if you need a free website then you could join Freeservers for this.

I've seen Amazon links on many websites i've visited and was never sure whether they would make any money from it so always used the main page (I have a bit of a phobia about getting scammed from false links). I'll make sure I access Amazon from my favourite linked websites now and will definately be adding one from my website when I finally get it updated.

| Eskimo (1726) | 3 years ago | There are quite a number of sites which will give you free webspace (some you have to accept pop-up adverts for), and you could put your Amazon link there (there are a lot of other websites which although you to sell goods for them by putting a link as well), that way whenver you want to buy something for your self, you will get a commision, even if nobody else clicks from your link. It helps though if other people can use your link as well. | |
