What is the weirdest pet you have ever owned? | | I have had many pets in my life, mostly dogs though. But I have had a couple weird pets as well.
For one, I once owned a tarantula. My husband and I seen it crossing the street, so we stopped and trapped it in a jar. Usually, I am terrified of spiders, but this tarantula was kinda cute:P We kept him for over a year, until he ended up dying. I would make my husband go outside and catch bugs for the spider, and he lived very healthily:P
Another weird pet was my husbands idea. It was a rooster. My husband felt bad for it because his friend said he was just going to kill it, because it was a nuissance (crowing in the early morning). We took him in, and he only lived for a few months. My husband and I both had no clue how to care for a rooster.
These were two of the weirdest pets I have ever owned.
So, what about you? What is the weirdest pet you have ever owned?

We have had all sorts when I lived with my parents: chickens, doves, budgies, rabbits, hamsters, ducks, parrots, loverbirds, other birds, koi-fish, fish-tanks, snakes. You name it and we probably had it at one stage or another.

| | 3. webeishere (12460) | 3 years ago | When I was in my early 20's I owned a Spider Monkey. Now she was a blast. She had an unbelieveable tolerance to alcohol so I got many women buying me drinks so they could see Sheila drink also. I would put a diaper on her in public. Ewwwww the worst smell ever is monkey dung. HAHAHA!! I rented a large house with 4 other men. The house was 150 some years old. It had a few crystal chandeliers. Well Sheila loved swinging as any primate does. One day she broke, well litterally tore one chandelier from the ceiling. It came crashing down breaking into a million pioeces. To say the least we had to pay for the repairs and eventually got evicted due to my Shelia. She eneded up in a local pet store. This was way back in the 70's. Can't buy a monkey now days. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

| | 4. Taskr36 (4636) | 3 years ago | I adopted an injured crow after Hurricane Charlie hit Florida. Unfortunately he didn't live very long due to his injuries and there were no open vets to bring him to because of the hurricane. Still he was friendly and it was nice to have him for a little while. I really want a pet uromastyx, but I'm holding off until I have the time and money to take care of one.
