and trust me, I feel the effects of it. I have bipolar and I have to take two medications every single day, for the rest of my life. Unfortunetelly, I have run out of one of my perscriptions last week. I have the other perscription, but I have been slacking and not taking it. They are the only things that keep me under control, and stupid me has been avoiding them. I have been latelly feeling depressed and very aggitated. I do not like taking my medication though because I hate pills. But the real reason I have been skipping doses is just plain forgetfullness. I have a bad memory and can barelly remember to take my pills. I will go to have my unfilled perscription filled again tomorrow, and I will try to remember to take them. So, my question is, do you ever forget important things, such as taking your pills? Or perhaps you forget other things? What? Tell all.

First, the mom side of me is coming out. Its very important to take your pills on a regular basis. With that being said, yes, I hate taking pills too. I take 5 different pills each day, some for high blood pressure, allergies and heartburn. Its such a drag sometimes. I have forgotten to take them before. Once I bought this little pill holder that has the days of the week on it and you put the pills in each slot for each day. It helps you remember. And thats if you remember to put the pills in there.lol. The only other thing I forget is housework but that is intentional.lol.

Be careful cos I am sure you can still remember how bad your bi polar was beofre you were on any medication. I must admit that I am very bad at remembering to take my anti inflammotories or my anitbiotics. The anti biotics are the worst cos it normally means I need to go abck to my doctor and get another lot cos I had the break in them they arent as effective. Is it nighttime where you are and you cant fill your prescription just now. Her ein teh UK there is a 24 hour pharmacy open in most areas. Maybe you should look and see if there is one near you.

I have daily medications also. And I seldom altogether forget to take them. I put all my medications together in a plastic film canaster, one canister for each day for ten days. I keep them in the cabinet in the kitchen so I can take them with my meals. (One of the benefits of doing ten days at a time is that it gives me time to refill any prescriptions that are getting low.) Not taking meds is the most common problem with bi-polar therapy. The side effects aren't all that attractive if you are feeling o.k. So you avoid the meds and before long you are feeling out of control again. Put your reminder or your meds by something you use every day: coffee pot, toothbrush, toaster, etc. Then promise yourself and someone else that you will take them. Give someone permission to ask you if you are taking your meds. You know you need to do it. Set it up so that you can't easily forget. And take care of yourself!!!!
