Do you always remember your spouse's Birthday?

Have never forgotten for 19 yrs now.

Ya know its funny because I have special anniversary on the day before my husbands birth day and I always get the two mixed up. It really used to bug the hell out of him but he's gotten used to it. I think

you wont be able to forget it because he will make it a point to remind you everyday!

I have never forgotten my husband's birthday but then again as it is on Christmas Day, I think I would have a bit of a problem coming up with a good excuse for forgetting it. LOL

However he forgets mine but these days our son always reminds him. When our son is overseas, he lets a friend know the day before, so he can remind my husband. But once many years ago when we were still farming my husband did forget.

My husband was down the dairy when the tanker arrived to collect the milk around 8.00 o'clock one morning. Tanker driver mentions the date and says the month is nearly over. Husband says "gee there is something about the date I should remember". Tanker driver "is it your anniversary". Husband "no that's next month. Oh well cannot be important."

Then comes home and relates the story to me. I said "oh okay, I've got some shopping to do", and promptly left the house for the whole day. LOL

I look forward to sharing my birthday with family and celebrating with a meal or desserts and if I'm lucky a gift. I always made sure to celebrate my husband and kid's birthdays with at least a cake, gifts, balloons and a Happy Birthday Banner with streamers, just to make it special. We'd then go to the 2 sets of grandparents houses and celebrate too. It usually ends up to be a celebration all week long. This is the first year....I didn't get him a special gift but I made him his favorite cake and took him out for a Sushi Lunch to celebrate.

I noticed the last few years...my birthday wasn't important for him to celebrate or even make sure my children did. Even though I celebrated with my parents and his anyway. So I decided not to celebrate his like normal this year, until.....his own Mom and Dad didn't even wish him a happy birthday until Noon, after his brother showed at their house and reminded them. My husband was slightly depressed over it, I would be too. Luckily My parent's took him for a special dinner a couple days earlier than the actual date and his real father acknowledged him early with a wonderful gift, but its still not the same as your own parents acknowledging you. How crazy...huh!
