luv2cook4u (308) | 3 years ago | I am not sure. we have flown from NY to Seattle with a 9 month old and again when she was a little over 2 years and her sister was 11 months. We did not buy them seats, but lucked out that we were not on full flights and were able to use the nearby empty seats for them. I believe the fact that this is an international flight, he may need his own ticket anyway. Even if he does not, have her see if they offer a lower-priced child's ticket and while she is talking to them, see how full the flight is expected to be. If she does not buy a ticket, when she checks in, have her ask the gate agent if she can have a seat with an empty seat next to her. If she puts him in the seat by himself, I believe she will also need a FAA approved car seat (I know you need them when flying domestically in the US), which from what I have seen, most car seats are FAA approved. It has been a few years since I have flown with young kids, but I remember it vividly. It can be difficult, but being prepared is the best preventative for bad behavior.

| | 2. ibuemma (1226) | 3 years ago | hi, roni! how are you? When 2 of my daughter still small i did bunch travelling. the baby 9 month old right? i don't think you should het the baby it's own seat. My daughter was 11 months old that time . On international flight usually they give you baby bassinet. When she's check in and sign seat they gonna put her usually in the middle ( international flight usually have 3 lines ( one of the right hand side with 2 seat, one on the left hand side with 2 seats and the middle usually have 4/5 seats every row )...the very front row under the big screen TV. But just to make sure she should call the airline company that she gonna use, to confirm everything...if the airlines on't have this bassinet thing than she should get the baby her own seat which cost usually 75% the adult tickets ( 25% off )...okay tell het good luck and have a safe trip!

| | 3. kelly60 (3270) | 3 years ago | I wish I could give some really good advice, but unfortunately I can't because I've never taken the kids traveling by airplane. Traveling by car was challenging enough, but at least we could stop and get out for a while when we needed to. I guess my best advice would be to try to be prepared for anything that may come up and play it by ear.

roniroxas (5937) | 3 years ago | thanks kelly, yes i believe it is much easier to travel by land because they can see something at the window of the car not unlike airplane all you see is the inside part of the airplane. thanks for the response.
