No garlands, coconuts in Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak temple!  

Yes,I think it is alright from the safety point of view,we
being Hindus are used to the offering of Flowers,Garlands and Coconuts etc.

I think without this also we can worship god,may be this
will not be a permanent feature,police must have got solid
info about some mad Jihadis(who else) going to do some
thing weird.

Even the Masjid at Hyderabad has not been spared by the
terrorists,we can only pray that better sense will prevail
and police will be successfull.

Eventhough I am from Bangalore,I have never fail to
visit Siddi Vinayak whenever I am in Mumbai,we can feel
the divine prescene of god there.

GANAPATHI BAPPA MORAYA.

When I read it first, I was surprised as offerings to God is a natural way of Hinduism. But, then the terrorist threat scenario played out. But, then what is the limit of our fear of these terrorist. Also the poor Garland makers and coconut sellers who were depending on the temple for their livelihood are now out of business. It is going to hit them more than the terrorists and who knows driven by hunger some of them might just turn out to be terrorists themselves some day.
