do you consider size 8 big?

If you think a size 8 is too big, then you are in for a rude suprise. Most "normal" sized people range from about a size 8 to a size 12. Anything smaller and you are too small. I am a size 20 right now and in the porcess of getting the extra weight off as I should only wear between an 8 and a 12.

I don't think 8 is big at all. I wear a size 16. I would feel like a walking pole if I wore size 8. I will never want to be less than a size 14. I love being healthy and not looking like death is knocking on my back.
Each person have a different body shape. If your meant to be that little so be it. I am 5/6 and my body weight should be 140. That puts me in a 14. never would I want to be smaller. Your doing fine with your 8.

As someone before me said, 8-12 is about average, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Give your body time to recover. It took 9 months for it to get into the shape its in... it's going to take a few months to get it back to where it was.

I wouldn't say it's big. But then again I am 5'8" and a size 8.;) Like you, I can get into a size 6, but that darn button at the waist cinches me a little, so I wear an 8. It sounds like you are doing great for being 8 weeks postpartum. I see no shame in not being able to fit into your pre pregnancy clothing 8 weeks after giving birth. Don't forget, things (like the hips) can shift around while being pregnant, so it's only normal not to be able to fit into your 'old' clothes, especially the pants.:P

heavens no that is not big,i wish i could get into a size 8 the is pretty much the norm.Just give your body a chance to recover,that takes time so dont panic,you will do just fine.

You are crazy. I have NEVER worn a size 8. Not even in high school. I have always worn from size 10-12. Currently I wear a size 22 and working on getting smaller. If you think you are big then you have not seen me.

You only went from as size two to a size eight? Is that all? I went from a size nine to a size 15. Now I am between size eighteen large and twenty two and a half, depending on the manufacturer and I am solid built not flabby. So wait a few decades or so. Then you will know what big is.

I have never had children, and still managed to creep up, one size at a time, over the years. I am now 35, and just went from a size 16 to a size 18. I am very top heavy, so I look better in a bigger size (though an 18 is bigger than necessary) lol.
I admire anyone that can regain a healthy weight,especially if they have been through child birth, illness, or other trauma that may have aided the weight gain.
You are doing great,girl. Don't worry about your size.

I don't consider a size 8 big. I was in the hospital for trying to starve myself to death as a teenager and still couldn't have worn a size 8.

I went shopping fairly recently and bought a new pair of blue jeans, and was elated to be able to fit into a size 14. This being over a year after having my son. But, you know what, when people see me, they don't think I'm fat. I get a lot of attention for being sexy and curvy.=)
