Do you have a "Junk Drawer"?

I have a junk drawer in my kitchen filled with odds and ends. Clothes pins, batteries, screws, keyrings with old keys, candles, etc. I try to clean it out once in a while but there are just too many things that if you throw them out you suddenly need them the next day! LOL

I do have a drawer that I keep all the odds and ends and screws and bolts and batteries and junk in. I think everyone needs to have at least one... I have two! LOL!

I've had a junk drawer for as long as I can remember, my mom had a drawer too and it's sole purpose was to keep junk in it.

I have junk drawers in my kitchen to i have all kinds of thing in them,i also have my bath room.I really need to clean them out,but if i did i would not be able to find any thing then.That awful to say i know,but like i hhave had a junk drawer as long as i can remember.

I do and about three of them and no matter how many times I clean them out they just get junk and stuffed again and again! I have never figured out how to keep them clean and I gave up trying a long time ago so I just keep cleaning them and junking them over and over!

Yes, I have a junk drawer in the kitchen and one in my closet. There is lots of stuff I think I will need someday. If I were to throw it away, I'd need it tomorrow. That kind of stuff. The drawer in the kitchen is packed full and it is hard to open it and then get it closed again. I did go through it last week and cleaned out a lot but I'm sure a lot more could go.

Yes, I grew up with a junk drawer too...LOL

In my house, we have a junk cabinet...in the kitchen closes to the drawer....it contains flashlight,batteries, band aids, a bowl with assorted nuts, screws, & nails...a couple of bottles of assorted medications such as benedryl, motrin..

It is funny the stuff that will accumulate in that cabinet....I usually clean it out 3-4 times a year....always shocks me the stuff that gets put into that cabinet...it seems that if someone does not know where something goes...it goes in there....LMAO

Yes, I have a junk drawer. It has batteries, rubber bands, tape, candles, a little bit of everything that doesn't need its own drawer. And, like you, everything that I don't have a place for gets put into that drawer. It is growning and I really need to clean it out.

I have a few junk drawers. But it is funny how you save all this stuff and never use 90% of it over the years. Then if you do ever need any of it, you have forgotten that you even bothered to save the item you need. We always had one or two growing up. But sometimes it would get full and another drawer would be needed. Then before you know it, you have junk stashed away in several places and the old saying applies...out of sight, out of mind.

I actually have a couple of junk drawers . One in my living room in the top drawer of one of our desk drawers and one in our porch . The one in the desk is for things like paper, pens, tape, paper and things for the computer and the one in the porch is for odd and ends like patches for the pool, extra pieces to fix a helmet or just extra pieces for a toy one of the children had, extra hairbows for one of the girls that someone didn't bother to put away when they came across it, tools for my husband and things like that . If one is looking for something in the house and can't find it anywhere, they know to check one of the junk drawers to see if it is in there . If it isn't there then chances are it was gargabed or lost .

I have alot of pens and tape and old mail.I try to clean it out as much as I can before it gets to cluttered but I hate to throw things out.
