Question about Thunderbird and Gmail

Well that's annoying because I use a lot of different email accounts. I have 12 that I use just for paid to do offer sites. A lot of times stuff that isn't spam gets sent to the spam folder so I have to check it. I guess I'll just have to go through and add all the sites that I do want to get email from to my contact lists so I won't have to actually log in to all of my email accounts so often. Anyway thanks for the quick response.

Yup, that would be a good idea. Have you setup filters, or is Gmail designating legitimate messages as spam all by itself? Gmail allows you to create some powerful filters, so be sure to watch what you're doing when you use them.

I like the C/R filter myself. Spammers will eventually back down if they can't reach your inbox, and especially if they get bounced messages or challenges. The only filter I setup in Gmail is a wildcard, to forward everything in my inbox to Bluebottle.;)

I had never set up any filters before, gmail was doing that all on it's own. I guess when you get tons of PTR messages, it starts to look like spam sometimes.

I understand. Have you been clicking the "not spam" button? You can train Gmail to stop flagging your important stuff. Thank you for best response!:)

Yes I do click the non spam button for stuff that isn't spam, but it still happens.

There's one more thing I can suggest. Hopefully it should work. If you open the message in the spam folder, and it's from someone you want correspondence from, highlight the e-mail address (click and drag), copy it (Ctrl + C), and paste it (Ctrl + V) in your contacts list. If that doesn't work, something is wrong. If that's the case, check the Help section, then contact them. I hope you can get it all fixed!

The problem with Outlook Express is that it doesn't support TLS. The only thing it supports is SSL, and Gmail requires TLS.

I tried to find the subscribe button, but didn't see it. Where in Thunderbird is this button located?

Try right click on the Account name .

I tried to right click on the account name and there was no subscribe option.

It's in the "File" menu. But isn't that for RSS feeds? At least that's what I thought it was.
