and i enjoy cooking a new recipe from one of my cookbooks. i have several Betty Crocker cookbooks. but i guess that i have over seventy cookbooks in my collection of them.

wow, i have a few more than you do, i think that the last time that i counted my cookbooks, i had seventy or over. and that is awesome about the Betty Crocker cookbook that you have. i do not have a rare one like that one is.

and yes, that is exactly what a cookbook is, a book filled with information telling you how to prepare a certain or certain meals. do you not have any cookbooks at home?

and i hear ya, hang on to all of the cookbooks that you have. never know. i have a bunch of cookbooks, alot of them that i would pick up at a yard sale in good condition. i enjoy fixing a new recipe from one of my cookbooks.

wow! you hang on to that Betty Crocker cookbook that you have and pass it on down to one of your daughters and then maybe they'll even pass it on down to one of their children and so on. and i bet it is in perfect condition. and that is funny about your Mom feeling sorry for your hubby when you-all were first married. haha

and let us all know here how your french onion soup and macaroni and cheese recipe turns out. sounds delicious. and i hear ya about surfing the internet for a good recipe, but that is just not the same as having a cookbook. i love to log onto Foodnetwork's website and surf the recipes. do you have a recipe box on their site? i do. haha

and sauces are a snap, what kind of sauces do you need help with?

lol. shame on ya. want me to mail you a cookbook? alright on the Jamie Oliver cookbook. wish i had that one in my collection of cookbooks. i have over seventy cookbooks in my collection now. whoo hoo! and i have scanned over all of them in time. and give one of the recipes in the cookbook a shot, that is what the cookbook is for. read the recipe first, then follow the recipe and it will turn out exactly like it should. and it is a shame that your mum threw away all of her cookbooks, wish that she would have thorwn them all my way!

i hear ya about the cookbooks, i have a double shelf of cookbooks. lol. i love all of them as well. and i totally agree with you about the older recipes in the cookbooks. what is your favorite cookbook that you have? i have a signed copy of "There's A Chef In My Family", by Emeril LaGassee. i got to see him in person at a book store where he was there signing his books one day.

lol. do you not cook alot? or all of the time and fix the same things again and again. when i get tired of fixing things over and over again, i will dig out one of my cookbooks and try something new and hope for the best. have you ever been to Foodnetwork's website? that is a great site for recipes.

no not much anymore, i make my own food and my son makes his we don't even like the same kinds of food.
