Presidential poll In India and Prative Patil vs...who,Rubber stamp nominee

Glorious Indian president Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam is going to vacate his post on 24 July-2007.Dr. Kalam was a man of international repute,free,fair and impartial in his entire tenure of five years.He has set the standards of Indian president to be a people's president.But U.P.A and it's coalition parties has clearly declined Dr. kalam his second term without any valid reasons.It Is a pity that ruling coalition has nominated a woman candidate who is now disputed even before filing her nomination.Even the intellectual mass in India has no or very little knowledge about Prativa patil.She has no major contribution to India and Indian democracy except being a Governor Of Rajastan.In India we have a large pool of intellectual masses both political and non-political personalities. But instead of nominating one of them they have nominated a candidate whose major plus point is "woman".Is this the bench mark of selecting the substitute of Dr. Kalam to whom the world admires.The so called patriotic,democratic and secular parties (left fronts) have given their nodes also.Would she get the same International status as Indian president like Dr. Kalam.So As an alert Indian citizens we are bound to doubt,apprehend and believe how the ruling coalition will use the official post of Indian President.All of us knows very well how Dr. Kalam has dealt the bill"Office of the profit" in free and impartial manner.Is not it the real cause behind the rejection of his nomination for second term.All members are cordially invited to keep their views.

Is Pratibha Patil the right candidate to replace Dr.Kalam?

Would the world looks India the same way as it was during Dr,Kalam's tenure(up to 23th July)?

Do you think The ruling parties may misuse the official post?
