How can I fix my windows media player?

get an kit of media player, uninstall the media player you have on your machine and reinstall it from the new kit you got previously... good luck

If u update the player, you can fix this.

insert windows xp cd into cd drive. you will get a pop up with various options. check windows update and then choose media player on completion you will get wm installed.

it can also be done from add remove software option into control pannel

I believe you should download window media player again and install again. Better uninstall the current version first before installing the new one.
