American Idol sets audition dates

Oh no! There is no where even near to me to audition! My husband wanted to audition this year because last years "talent" was so bad! But the closest one to Seattle is San Diego and that's still very far away! Sad Day!

Funny they never come up to the northeast. They did go to Boston one year, but that was it. If they came to New York or Connecticut (or even Boston) I'd take a day trip for it. But I don't think it's worth going all the way to Philadelphia for it.

American Idol seems to get a lot of red state finalists--Kelly Clarkson (Texax), Ruben Studdard (Alabama), Clay Aiken (North Carolina), Fantasia Barrino (North Carolina), Diana DeGarmo (Georgia), Carrie Underwood (Oklahoma), Bo Bice (Alabama), Taylor Hicks (Alabama). Why so many from Alabama? From what I remember, the only non-southerners in the finals were Justin Guarini (Pennsylvania) and Katharine McPhee (California). Just an observation.

Wow! It feels loike it just ended, and it's already starting again?! hard to believe, they don't get much of a rest, do they.

It will be interesting for me to see who shows up for the auditions in Philly since I live about 30 minutes away from there. I wonder how many good singers and bad singers Philly has to offer or people that live close to Philly. I am sure there will be people from Delaware showing up for the auditions. I can't wait for the next American Idol to come on tv in January.

Glad that they're going to some different cities this year! It might open up some new talent pods out there.

Sadly, I am not young enough nor have any sort of singing ability, so, no, I won't be auditioning! lol!

I can't believe that auditions are already beginning. I thought they usually started in the fall. I still love this show and watched it faithfully and I will be watching it again this next season. I will also watch Paula Abdul's new reality show as I am a big fan of hers. It will air this thursday at ten o'clock on Bravo.

I think I am going to audition. It looks like a lot of fun. As far as what I am going to sing, I have no idea. I am a Rock/Soul singer crossed into classical and jazz genre. I use to front a band, so I'll just choose one of the many covers I did. I really want to audition though. It seems like an amazing opportunity and I love music. I guess I believe I would bring something new to music. Music is life.
