How Often Do you Drop Your Television Remote Control And

Hey trans the only time our remote gets dropped is when we are babysitting and the baby grabs it. Surprisingly enough we don't drop it much. I did drop one of our remotes once where it just shattered. It landed on a hard floor. Normally if we drop it it will only make the batteries fall out. LOL:)

My daughter is very short tempered person. Whenever she has arguments with her sibling or her mother, she throws whatever there is in her hand. It is unfortunate the she holds remote and remote is the victim of her tantrums. So far she has broken five remotes and i have to bear the burnt.

my remote control ahs been dropped, but never broke open....its been thrown, lost the battery cover...

But I've never, knock on wood, had it break open.....

the worst thing is we loose the battercover all the tiem and my kids hide the remotes well....

So dropping isn't a problem in our house, My 12 year old has thrown them and they survived), my problem is them getting lost.

Well, I do often throw the remote, I'm not a dropper. On a daily basis my guy who is still a man in training catches the remote flying at his head after a careless remark. Let it be about my cooking, my housekeeping, whatever. I rarely miss, as I have had plenty of practice, and haven't broken one yet, but that's no matter, I do have a back up, but that's more for when do I miss.

At least 5 times a day and as many as (seems like) 80 times. It always breaks open. My kids are constantly dropping it and it smashes open( on a polished concrete floor). Its been dropped that many times and it still just kicks on...Hang on...Its a Panasonic...So I am going to give them the thumbs up for best remote.

My sister has a tendency to drop the remote now and then. Everything else she holds never slips out of her hands, but that doesn't apply to remotes. And now a days it slips from my hands too, but for me it's not the only thing getting dropped! However none of our remotes have suffered much so far. They are sound and intact.:)

Our TV remote controls have been dropped many times, and they have opened up, but they always work. My son likes to play catch with the remote controls, he throws them up and catches them over and over again. It drives me crazy. The only time a remote control quit working was when something was spilled on it.

My remote has been dropped enought hat the battery cover broke but that's the worst thing to happen to mine. My s/o's is now duct taped together because it got dropped and pulled apart so many times! At one point it was in four separate pieces...the front, the back, the circuit board and the rubbber key pad! We just put the pieces back together and taped it and it still worked.

I did ruin a remote one time. It was during one of those hurried moments. I was fixing dinner and was trying to deliver the food to the table. I was carrying my big pot of soup when the phone rang. I couldn't set it down where I was so I just brought it with me and set it on the floor in front of the tv where I also kept my phone. The phone cord caught around the remote when I answered the phone and the remote dropped right into the pot of soup!

I drop the remote all the time. I'm a klutz.=p

My poor remote actually takes quite a beating, between that, my son playing with it, and the fact that if there's nothing on to watch it often gets tossed in disgust. So far the one that came with my cable box has managed to survive all this, so I guess I'm pretty lucky!

It does seem like before this one we went through many remotes though.

I tend to drop my remote quite a bit. For the most part I use one remote for everything, except occasionally I do use a second remote for the tv specifically. I've had no problem with any of my current remotes breaking.

A very long time ago I do remember having a cable remote breaking after it was dropped. That was 15+ years ago though. Now they seem to be made much better.
