How do you seek new friends here on myLot

I don't do anything to find a new friend in this site at all! You know people come to me asking me to be their friends and that's the way I have found something around 50 or so friends.
Well, rarely.. yes.. I do go for profiles of people like you. I mean if I feel that the discussion I have read is that much important then I use to visit the profile of that person and If I feel that they can be my friend.. I invite them. That's it.

When I first came I asked some of the people that also came from Care2.com like me. Thought it would be a good start. Since then all my friends have asked me. I do not go looking. I may notice someone and wish they would ask and usually in time they do. It works out that way for me and being patient anyone can do that. They are all set to Notify On. That helps me and them.

I got to admit, i have only been here for a week and already i have learned to be carefull who to select as your friends. I only have 12 friends til now half of who have requested me. In the beginning i was pretty honoured to be picked as a friend to anybody, til i realised this aint about friendship but to get most people to answer your discussion, nothing else. This makes me disappointed and very pised off as just 2 of my socalled friends have turned my e-mail into the worse spamfolder i have ever seen, by posting up 20 new discussions each a day. This to me is not what i expected from friendships, so as soon as i can get it over my heart they will be deleted from my friend list. Geeee

In the future i will only request my friends myself and will do this only when i am convinced that they have a potential of becoming true friends. This i do if they through their responces shows that they have a true understanding on the topics they response to, if i can see that they truly care and have the heart at the right place.

Sorry equantaintaces, but i hate getting spammed this counts from myLot users too, even though you pretend to be my friends.

I will usually request a friend if they have a good discussion that I have answered, or if they have given me a couple of good responses to my discussions. After that, I just look for good discussions and members who are highly rated in reputation. Those are the kinds of people I like to make my friends. Of course, I accept anyone who requests me as a friend because it shows that they want to be involved, too.

I get them from new user discussions or I get them from others responding to my discussions. I also get new friends when I respond to other member discussions whether they are old or new members. I also get new friends when they request me to be their friend also.

I dont request a lot of friends, its the other way around. I will check out their profile and discussions before I approve them.

I reply to interesting discussions. If the person or people are those that are serious in their discussions and replies I follow those along and reply to most of their discussions because I know they will be worth while. After awhile you develop a repore with those people and you can then develop a true friendship because you start to know each other and what is important to them as people.

I only get friends by replying to discussions. I think I'm traumatized by the first two people who I friend requested, they both denied me for some reason and now I don't like adding friends! Lol. It's so silly, but I just don't like adding. Usually when I reply to a discussion from a person I don't have on my list, they'll end up adding me. And I notice others who reply to the same discussion I replied to, might add me. But I don't add anyone...horrible, I know!

i try 2 respond 2 every topic, when i see a girl with her pic is the host of topic then i must add her coz i luv 2 do friendship with gals

I usally find them from disscusions I have started also or I find them from other disscussions.
