Do you take your cellphone into the bathroom? |
Yesterday I made a call to my son who was working in outstation. Before ending the call I asked, “What are you doing now?” “Hehe…taking bath in the bathroom!” Oh! What a beautiful coincidence! We both have the same habit of taking cellphone into the bathroom while bathing. Hi my dear friends, please share your experience and view. Thanks a lot

51. smints8985 (1013) | 3 years ago | I used to bring my phone with me in the bathroom, but not because I talk on the phone while I am taking a bath or anything. It was basically because I was thinking that my spy mom would be sneaking and taking a peek at my messages when I am off taking a shower. Hahah! Well, she sometimes gets curious when my brother comes home late suddenly then she would do that. I just laugh at it and says I'm gonna tell. But I really don't tell on her. And so to avoid that happening to me I just play it safe.

lkbooi (7007) | 3 years ago | Yeah, your idea is good. By taking your cell phone into the bathroom could have more privacy with using it.
Your mom’s behavior could tell that she is caring for her children.
To bring cell phone closely with us could avoid much undesirable problems lol...

52. 2wicelot (641) | 3 years ago | No I don't. Except may be when it is my pocket and I have to just get in and get out. But if I am going in to have my bath for instance, I drop it outside along with other things I would not take into the bathroom with me. After all, I don't think I would answer someone while in the shower anyway. But I did see this story of a rich business in New York one time who had telephone extensions all over the house including in the shower because he does not want to miss any call. I guess that is what you may call overtime.

lkbooi (7007) | 3 years ago | Well, you manage to be the master of your cell phone and not be the slave of it lol I too did see people who always complain that ever since they are having cell phones they have to spend lots of time and money to serve them.

2wicelot (641) | 3 years ago | Yes I try to do my best not to get addicted to the phone.

lkbooi (7007) | 3 years ago | Mobile phone is mainly used for contacting a person when he is roaming outside for conveying important matter. It shouldn’t be treated as a toy that we are crazy about lol...

53. hersmart4ever (4396) | 3 years ago | I do not take my cell phone inside the bathroom becoz there is a risk of soaking it in water. It happened to me once so I learned my lessons. I usually leave my phone beside my television or on top of the kitchen cabinet where I usually stay. Cell phone maintennance are not too cheap I better take extra cautions about my cellphone.

| |
lkbooi (7007) | 3 years ago | Since cell phone is an expensive item I do take serious care on it so as I could keep it safe all the time. I seldom keep my mobile beside the tv as you did because I am scared that I might not be able to hear the ringing with the tv on.

lkbooi (7007) | 3 years ago | Yeah, a switch off tv could never disturb your cell phone.:)

54. cyberopjames (274) | 3 years ago | LOL. Well I don't take my cell phone into the bathroom with me, but I do take the bluetooth in with me. hehehe. I get in trouble with my lover if I ever miss a call. He yells at me because of have a sizure disorder and if he can not contact me he sends his mother over or one of our friends. But is it me, everytime you go into the bathroom and forget to take the phone with you, it rings, or someone comes to the door?
| |
| |
lkbooi (7007) | 3 years ago | It is a good practice to bring your bluetooth with you into the bathroom instead of bringing the cell phone which might drop into water or get wet. By doing this you won’t miss any calls of your loved one. This could avoid lots of troubles of missing the calls.:) Other than that you can really enjoy your bath peacefully in a more relaxed manner.
| |
cyberopjames (274) | 3 years ago | Well for the most part I don't like to take any phone to the bathroom with me. I mean that is what voice mail and caller ID is for. It is not like I am going to be in the bathroom all day. I am only in the bathroom only like 15 or 20 minutes in the shower.
| |
lkbooi (7007) | 3 years ago | Of course the specific features of caller ID and voice mail could really serve the purposes of solving many problems concerning the use of mobile phone in many particular circumstances. It’s true that we normally don’t leave our phones behind for long as we are afraid that it might be lost or unattended.

| 55. mischief88 (37) | 3 years ago | Hi
I used to talk on my phone when I was in the bath quite a lot, but only to my boyfriend (now ex). It saved time as we liked to talk to each other for a long time, and I was comfortable enough with him for him to know that I was in the bathroom. It became something of tradition, and even though we haven't been together for over a year, he still manages to call me when I am in the bathroom!

lkbooi (7007) | 3 years ago | I believe bathroom is the safer place that could provide much privacy for us to chat about something private. So it is nice for us to bring mobile phone into bathroom.

56. danishcanadian (20673) | 3 years ago | No, I do not take my cellphone into the bathroom. for one thing, cellphones amplify everything, so people would be able to hear me in there. Secondly I like privacy when I'm in the bathroom, and finally, a cellphone is too small to hold if you need your hands for anything else while in there.
| |
| |
lkbooi (7007) | 3 years ago | There are always reasons not to bring mobile phone into the bathroom. In this way we don’t have to worry of being overheard or privacy in bathroom being disturbed as well as the safety of the phone. Anyhow we might miss some important calls if we don’t bring our cell phone with us.

lkbooi (7007) | 3 years ago | Even though your phone doesn't have internet you still could bring it into the bathroom provided that it could be used as a device for communicaiton as long as there is net work around there.

59. shinjiao (1264) | 3 years ago | No I don't.Personally speaking,I think the bath time should be used as relax so I don't want to take cellphone in coz the ring will bother me when I'm relaxing in the bathroom.

lkbooi (7007) | 3 years ago | It’s really true, we could hardly find a place of privacy that we could truly relaxed ourselves in our busy daily life nowadays. No doubt, the mobile phone in the bathroom could disturb ourselves to some extent but we couldn’t deny the importance of having it when we are expecting some important calls during the very time.:)

lkbooi (7007) | 3 years ago | No doubt this is the livelihood of a recruiter. Your friend ought to receive any important calls so as not to miss his business all the time. Of course a successful business man always slog away at his work for every valuable second of his precious time.
