 Does anyone know a good reputable way to break into a way to sell photos, either online, or how to market your photos to sell.
I have some really good photos, that I would like to market, one of them from the fourth of July
I know breaking into the photography business is not easy, but I'd like to try to do it.
If anyone knows of good places online to upload photos to, I would like to do so, and places that charge more than pennies per download, I'm not that good with photos right now nor do I have that many to make it worth my while.

AnythngArt (1679) | 3 years ago |  I don't know what to tell you except that I know there is a book called "The Photographer's Marketplace" similar to "The Writer's Marketplace" that lists markets. You might want to check out your local library or bookstore. There is probably a linking website, too.

I would suggest typing in the address bar under google where to sell photos online. I can't for the life of me remember what post I seen those discussions on but if I find them on here I will send you a link. Good luck Mooch.

What we are trying is local.
We have taken a few of her 'not as good' pictures around to some of the shops around here to see if they can recommend a good publisher.
We don't take her better shots because we don't want professional jealousy to be a problem when seeking answers.
We have found that the best first time option is to put together a "coffee table book" that doctor's offices can put in their lobbys.
Good luck, it takes a lot of leg work but is worth it in the long run. Susan
