|  I live in east Tennessee near the smokey Mountains...They are beautiful...I have always wanted to go "white water rafting" in the river that runs through the mountain...White waves and nature playing...It would be a dream..I love my mountains...

| |  i think the mountains are beautiful.the time when you can go there that is the prettiest is during Fall and Winter.that's the best time to go and see.i love Smokey Mountains as i have been there before.
it is real pretty up there.Gatlinburg is about the best place to visit.

| | yep you said right.it is gr8 down there especially during the Fall and Winter.i love going down there during those times.i think the Fall is the best time to go to Gatlinburg also b/c it shows all of the colorful leaves that the Mother has to offer us for Fall.summer is just too hot to go to Gatlinburg and you cannot enjoy it.:( | | | |

| |  I have driven through those mountains quite a few times in my trips to and from Florida. They are quite the sight. I lived in Florida my whole life, and we don't have so much as a hill...lol. Now up in Illinois, we have a little more than Florida. Not mountains, but at least hills and valleys. I love seeing changing landscapes. Driving from Florida to Illinois we got the chance to see so much I had never seen before. It was interesting.

The Smoky Mountains have arts & crafts, hiking, biking, tubing, horseback riding, live music, and two annual festivals. Whichever season you choose, there's always a good adventure to be found. After a day of fun, find a great place to eat followed by a stay in a cabin, hotel, bed & breakfast, or at a campsite.
Me and my family had a wonderful time there. We are planning a return trip next year.
