Can there be a substitute for mother’s milk?  |

 I donot think .Young mothers should try to feed the baby only breast milk as it contains substances which help to increase the baby's resistance to infection later in life.
In the modern, urban set-up many young mothers find they are producing insufficient breast milk to feed their babies in the first three months. But if you are planning a baby you must, as a mother-to-be, make a serious commitment to feeding or nursing your baby.

However a month before his birth I found out he has spina bifida. So for the first three weeks of his life he had to spend in hospital. I expressed milk for him and the nurses also gave him formula milk as well.
Formula milk cost £6.38p and a mother's own milk is free. Formula milk needs to go in a bottle and may need to be warmed. A mother's milk does not need a bottle. It is the right temperature already. Formula milk can be taken outside the home with much preparation. A mother's milk can be used anywhere. Formula milk is as close as possible to a mother's milk but mother's milk is perfect. It increases a baby's resistance to infection later in life.

At the infant stage a child require not only energy or major constituents of food, there is something speciality in each mother's milk for her baby, this varies with the health of mother and baby, baby's requirement for growth and obviously on mother's feed. To get best results we should also look after the mother's diet for the proper feed of baby.

Kids were actually routinely weaned no earlier than 2 years of age back in the day, so you're just following in your foremothers' footsteps, lol. I only breastfed for a few weeks before I switched my son to formula. He fills up a lot faster on formula, so I don't feel like a milk cow, lol. We have so much more time to play together (we're both very hyper and active) while still enjoying our cuddle time when I feed him. He likes to hold his own bottle now, but I still cradle him whenever he lets me. He's already a year!
