Money found in toilets across Japan

Before I retired from the city that I worked for I used to have to clean out sewer lines and I found many coins as well as jewelry. One of the oldest coins that i found was over 115 years old. No it was not in mint condition but it was still readable. I found a lot of necklaces and rings that people would flush down the toilets. On the valuable pieces I would turn into the police and if no one claimed them they would give them back to me.
