I would say that Harry Potter is the most popular fictional character of our time. I'm not sure whether or not he is the most popular of ALL time. I would imagine that he would be among the top five if he is not the most popular though. I suppose I will have to do some research now and see what I can find out.

Well he is the most popular fictional character of this generation and the fact that JK Rowling is now a millionaire proves that. People who enjoyed reading Harry now will always remember the impact and euphoria this books has caused today.

I like Aladdin, spiderman, superman when I was a kid. Now also i enjoy them. I like Harry Potter because they takes us to a entirely different world free of stress and daily life struggle. HP is comparatively new to others. I like all of them. I enjoy HP the most.

I'm pretty sure that Harry Potter has been released in more languages than any of the others though, which means it's been able to reach more audiences. Harry Potter is also the kind of thing that the kids who love it now will probably read to their kids. Whereas the others you mentioned are more along the lines of things that people let their kids discover for themselves if it suits them.
